SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES UNDER MGNREGA SCHEME
The special programmes for the beneficiaries of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) are being conducted by DTNBWED from the financial year 2011-12 onward. This scheme is launched by the Govt. of India, which guarantees wage employment, the primary objective is to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed employment in a financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. In the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), the Village Level Programme of 2 days duration are being conducted for the workers in rural areas. During these two days programmes participants are made aware abour the MGNREGA scheme, its benifits and its implementation. The participants are encouraged to get issued their Job Cards to get the requisit employment under the scheme. The main objective of these programmes is enable the rural population to avail maximum benifits of the schemes and to have an alround development of their village in terms of social, economical and environmental welbeing. In additon to the awarenes about MGNREGA, other subject such as working and importance of Gram Sabha, importance of organization, importance of education, health and hygiens, environmental education etc. are covered during two days session as per the need of the local area.
Total 40 participants in the age group of 18-45 years from rural areas can be included in Village Development Programme of 2 days duration of DTNBWED. Each particinat is paid an amount of Rs. 200/- per day for attending the programme through Direct Debit Transfer to their respective Aadhar linked bank accounts as per the guidelines of Government of India.
