About Regional Directorate

Regional Directorate of DTNBWED, Pune was established on 7th September 1963.

The Centre has a very good potentiality having public, private, cooperative sector industries in plenty. Pune region has a very wide range of Defence establishments within its jurisdiction. We have establishments having large number of workers on one hand and small scale industries employing between 50 to 100, but the very significant feature of Pune’s industrial climate is that the Management in most of the industries is professional in its approach and giving more than due weightage for human resource development and training.

A very good number of Non-Governmental Organizations are working very effectively in the area. They render all sort of support, cooperation, coordination in our activities ranging from Rural Workers Programme to Programme for Unorganized Workers or Programme on Quality of Life for Workers and their spouses. Same is the approach of Social Organization
