About Regional Directorate

The Regional Directorate, Mangalore started functioning from the year March, 1965. The specialty of this Regional Directorate is that the first pilot project in Rural sector was implemented in the year 1976-77 at Hebri, Udupi-DT. Some of the major category of Unorganised workers covered in this Regional Directorate are , Beedi workers, Construction workers, Women workers, Fisheries labour, Plantation workers, Agriculture workers ,Marginal farmers etc.,  In  organized sector, the following major PSU’s, Co-operative and Private Industrial establishments are covered BEML, MESCOM, CHESCOM, KPCL, KSRTC, RBI, Railways, NMPT, MPM, HPCL, MCF,  KIOCL, ISRO-MCF, MRPL, KMF, CAMPCO, KFDC ,TATA Coffee, JK Tyres,  BASF, MCF, Unilever Ltd., Triton Valves, Zenith Textiles, Automotive Axel, Ramon Board, United Breweries Ltd, Calypso Foods,  Reid & Taylor, KTMS,  etc.
