About Regional Directorate

Regional Directorate, Ahmedabad started functioning from 11/02/1974. Initially it was covering Saurashta and Kutch along with fourdistricts in North Gujarat. 

Ahmedabad is a Textile hub and number of training programmes have been conducted for textile workers in collaboration with Managements and MazoorMahajanSangh for improving the efficiency and Organizational  behaviour’s of Textile Workers.

Regional Directorate, Ahmedabad also conducted series of Training Programmes on Soft Skills, Organizational Behaviour related, Personality Development, Leadership Development and Constructive Role of Trade Union for Development of their respective  Organization for Employees of  Gujarat Road Transport Corporation, IFFCO, Kalol and Kandala Plants  ONGC Ltd, Ahmedabad and Mehsana Assets, Postal Department,Gujarat Circle, Western Railways, Ahmedabad Division, Torrent Power Ltd., Maize Product Ltd., Zydus Group of Industries, Inductotherm India Ltd. along with Co-operative Sectors of Gujarat Milk Marketing Federations (AMUL Dairies) and varies Private Industries of North Gujarat.

Regional Directorate, Ahmedabad is also providing tailor made programmes on Soft Skills, Team Building, Supervisory / Managerial Development Skills  and Productivity improvement tools, etc  to world renowned  Private sectors like Torrent Pharmaceuticals,  Zydus Research Centre, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Intas Bio and Pharmaceuticals Units, Coka Cola, Bottling Plant, Arvind Ltd,  Hi-Rel-Hitachi Plant, and also providing training to the group C and D employees of the  prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad etc.

In Unorganised Sector and Rural Sector, we provide training for the socio-economic development of different categories of workers i.e. Beedi, Construction, Tribal Workers, Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe, Child Labours, Panchayati Raj Functionaries, Self Help Groups Members etc.

In All our training programmes of Unorgainsed and Rural sector we focus on Skill development schemes of Govt. Of India , RSBY, Jan Shree BimaYojana and HIV/AIDS Awareness and SHG’s formation and functioning.

Th Regional Directorate, Ahmedabad, has its own building having two class rooms (one A.C class room having a seating capacity of 35 participants) well equipped with A.V Aids and Library.
