About Regional Directorate |
DTNBWED, Regional Directorate, Tinsukia was established in 1961 with a view to cater to the educational needs in the Organised, Unorganised and Rural Sectors by conducting training programmes in 6(six) districts of Assam and in 7(seven) districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The state of Assam is known for world famous tea, oil, handloom and handicrafts. Some of the major industries in and around Tinsukia districts are Oil India limited, Coal India Limited, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilzer Corporation Limited, Namrup Thermal Power Station, Assam Petro-Chemical, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Assam Gas Company Limited, Hindustan Unilever, Limited, Bharat Petro Chemical Limited and a large Plastic Park set up by Govt. of Assam is about to be operational soon. DTNBWED, Regional Directorate, Tinsukia conducts various training programmes in thse industries( organized sectors) and have trained hundreds of workers. Apart from these programmes, DTNBWED, Tinsukia also conducts various training programmes for thousands of workers in the Unorganized and Rural Sectors, MGNREGA and North East Special Programmes. |
