About Regional Directorate

Kozhikode alias Calicut is the northern region of Kerala know as the "Malbar" region. This place has landmark in history as the place where Vasco De Gama first landed in India in 1497. The Kozhikode Regional Directorate comprises of the 6 districts of Kerala.The main industries in the region are " ITI Lrd., Instrumentation Ltd., KAMCO, Marico, Patspin, Eurospin, Keltron Componenet Complex, MILMA, etc. The Wayanad under the region is known for its tea and coffee plantations. DTNBWED Kozhikode Regional Directorate came into being in 1967 and since then it is playing a vital role in the field of Workers Education.
