About Regional Directorate |
Regional Directorate, Ranchi was established in the Year 1979. Initially it happened to be the part of Regional Directorate, Jamshedpur. In 1977, during Janata Government, the then Labour Minister Mr. Ravindra Varma initiated for full fledged Regional Directorate. The centre was established at the heart of Heavy Engineering Corporation, a Public Sector Understanding keeping in view of its 22000 working strength. The major industries being catered by Regional Directorate Ranchi are M/s HEC Limited, GRSE (Diesel Engine Plant), MECON, R&D Sail, Central Coalfields Limited, CMPDIL, Usha Martin Limited, HINDALCO Limited, Service Sector like Postal Department, Railways and State transport, Banking and Insurance, Jharkhand Police, CISF, CRPF, Sudha Dairies etc. In unorganised and rural sector, Ranchi Regional Directorate is prominently dominated by Scheduled Tribe Agriculture Workers. At present the centre is working under the leadership of Regional Director with Two Education Officers, One UDC, One Steno Gr.III, and one MTS. |
