About Regional Directorate

Regional Directorate Kolkata of Central Board for Workers Education was established in the year 1959 at a rented accommodation at 43 Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata 700026. Later during 2007 the Regional Directorate was shifted to ‘Swami Vivekananda ShramikShikshaBhawan,’ at 238 Shantipally, E M Bypass, Kolkata-700107. The Regional Directorate was set to cater the workers in six districts.

The area under the Regional Directorate Kolkata is about 28,191.42 Sq KM with a total population of 3, 40, 37,161 heads.
